Partnerships
The reach this work needs comes from working together.
One coach can only be in one room. Organizations, schools, departments, and programs are how the method reaches the people who'll never walk into the gym in Troy. Here's where AdaptAbility Co is built to plug in.
Ways to partner
Five places this fits.
Advocacy & disability-services organizations
Organizations that connect families to services every day. A program they can point families to, and athletes they can send for real athletic preparation, extends both sides at once.
Schools
Unified, inclusive fitness for mixed general-education and special-education students, built to line up with IEP goals. Two parts: running the class, and training the PE and support staff to keep it going after the engagement ends.
First-responder agencies
The CAS-FR program for police, EMS, fire, dispatch, and school resource officers. Department-level training that lowers escalation, use of force, and injury risk. See the CAS-FR track →
Adaptive athletics
Combined training that puts special needs clients and competitive athletes in the same room, so each learns what the other can't teach them. A natural fit for adaptive sports leagues and athletes preparing to compete.
Group homes & day programs
Staff training that multiplies one well-trained person into better care for everyone in the building. This is where the certification method does its highest-leverage work, and where consistency from a shared plan replaces the unevenness of a workforce nobody standardized.
The idea worth building around
Inclusion isn't a one-way door.
True inclusion isn't only giving the special needs community a place to belong. It's bringing everyone else into the room too.
The most interesting work happens when neurotypical athletes and adolescents and the special needs community train and learn side by side. Neither group is the charity case. Both are participants. The best way to learn is to be around people who don't look like you, and that cross-community dynamic is the point, not a nice side effect. It's the thread running through the school work, the athletic partnerships, and the programs I'm building next.
Why the timing is right
The body of work is here.
The bigger asks, courses for care providers, first-responder contracts, school engagements, all need a real body of work behind them before they land. That work now exists: a deep methodology base, a certification framework, an app in development, and years of results in the room.
What's left is connecting it to the organizations that can carry it further than one person ever could.
What a partner can expect
- Credit stays attached to the people who did the work
- Affordable access treated as a rule, not a favor
- Dignity-first framing for every client, always
- A method that trains your people, not just a guest appearance
